I still don't know anything!

I got a call from the midwife this morning. She got my test results back from last Friday. What was supposed to have happened between my first blood test and this last one was my beta levels should have quadrupled. Well, they only went from 189 to 566. She said it should have been in the thousands by now. So, she is having me come in tomorrow for another ultrasound and more blood work. (I have a feeling I'm going to have a ridiculous amount of blood work in the next few weeks, sigh) She said she wants to make sure that I don't have an ectopic pregnancy. That, would suck.

If it is an ectopic pregnancy, and since I'm so early on, I'll have to get a shot to stop the progress of the pregnancy. Otherwise, the pregnancy (which is most likely in my fallopian tube) would, as it got bigger, basically explode and I would have some major issues. If I was further along it would require surgery. This is serious stuff.

I'm hanging in there as best I can. Taking it one day at a time. It's a waste to worry about stuff I have no control over. Weird to think that I don't have control over my own body. I just want some answers. I want to know for sure what is going on and what I can do to fix it.

Hopefully more news tomorrow once I have the ultrasound...and more blood work...ugh!
